On a bright sunny morning, I walked from the café back to the dorm, a breeze of cold wind blew at my face, and I noticed something was moving within the forest. Is it a squirrel? No… is it the bush? No…. It turns out to be the tall pine was being blown by the wind.

Pine trees cover most of the world, its normal length is about 70-80 feet tall, which makes it taller than most of the trees, its roots go down into the ground about 20-30 feet deep. These trees are more adaptable to cold, dry climate than other trees. The needle shaped leaves minimizes the loss of water. Because of all these advantages it has it makes itself an ever-green tree.

I remember one time when two pine trees fell in the middle of the campus and. I asked the person who was in charge about why the tree fell, he said "because of the way we water the trees, instead of letting the roots go down and get water, we give the water on the top, which make the roots of up for water. And then later when the hurricane hits, the wind gets strong and blows the tree over.

I think pine trees should be an example for Christians, we need to stand up tall, different from other people in the world. We should have a firm foundation, a foundation and a relationship that you develop with God, not feed by others. If others feed us, it will make us become the two pine trees that fell over during the time of trouble, because we do not have a firm relationship with God. We too, should be an "ever-green" Christian, not a Christian with "dead leaves" hanging all over us. We should become a Christian who is alive, that knows what to do in the "cold winter", when we become this "ever-green pine tree" we will be a witness to the people around us. Are you ready to become this pine tree?
